The school library should be “at the center”
of every curriculum. Integration of the library and its resources into every
subject area promotes higher level thinking and learning. Additionally, incorporating
collaborative research into the curriculum addresses the needs of all learning styles.
There is too much information available today for an individual to know
everything. The mark of the next generation's scholar will be any individual
who can access, interpret, and explain information to their colleagues.
Libraries are the arenas in which life-long learning and literacy grow
and flourish.
